Zarif Khan has established an increasing reputation as a defence advocate in serious crime of Murder, Terrorism and Sexual Offences.  Having gained experience in the spectrum of a busy defence practice, he is now increasingly relied on as a junior with clear logical thinking, with an abundance of common sense and good judgement to dissect and simplify matters to the core.  This combination ensures that Zarif has an excellent relationship with both his lay and professional clients as well as having a jury-friendly style.  He has a broad criminal practice and is beginning to be increasingly instructed as a leading junior in his own right.

Zarif is the vice chair on the management committee of the North Kensington Law Centre (oldest law centre in UK and a registered charity) since 2002 and takes an active part in a number of other charitable organisations and NGOs including helping to advice on different aspects from fundraising, organisational structures to legal compliance. He is a former co-opted member of the CBA and an Advocacy trainer for Lincoln's Inn where he also sits on the Special Tribunals Board. In the past he has been a training adviser for HMR&C and presently is a School Governor at Chelsea Children's Hospital (registered Charity).

Zarif is a regular contributor to BBC radio Lancashire and television on changes in the law and general developments in legislation.
