Lauren is a successful and respected senior criminal practitioner. She is regularly instructed by a number of different solicitors firms to defend in a broad spectrum of serious criminal offences. She has appeared as a leading junior in complex cases including, murders, frauds and sexual allegations, involving both adult and child complainants.
She has been recognised as a leading junior by those at "Chambers and Partners" and has been listed within that publication for a number of years.
Lauren is currently instructed in a multi-defendant conspiracy to supply heroin and in a "significant" sexual offence case involving a black cab driver said to have been drugging female passengers in order to sexually assault them.
Noteworthy cases in which Lauren has been leading counsel include:
Knight - A publican charged with the manslaughter of 3 people. Mrs Knight was alleged to have started a fire in her public house in which the 3 people died.
Nessa - A multi-defendant murder case in which Joygun Nessa was accused of murdering her former lover in Epping Forest and then setting light to his body.
Hind - A young man charged with murder. The Crown's case was that he together with a co-defendant kicked a man to death.
Andvari - A multi-defendant case in which a young man was charged with kidnap. section 18 grievous bodlily harm, and false imprisonment. The offences arose out of the enforcement of a drug debt.
Purba - HSBC bank employee charged with defrauding the bank of £11 million.
Vale - An historical sexual abuse case in which the Defendant was accused of repeatedly abusing a young girl over a number of years and raping a second female who had a significant mental impairment.
Odadele - A psychiatric nurse charged with raping and sexually assaulting patients who were under his care.
