A week into their trial, two property developers accused of colluding with mortgage brokers in a multi million pound sub prime mortgage fraud walked free from Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court yesterday.  Charles Burton, instructed by Andy Mooney (of EBR Attridge), argued sucessfully that a fair trial had been rendered impossible by reason of the prosecution's failure to disclose relevant material. No evidence was offered against both men.

The brokers, who pleaded guilty, await sentence.
